Kyle mcDonald & Jen Hui Liao
Kyle mcDonald´s Blind Self Portrait uses computer vision algorithms to build a
contour drawing of the visitor, and a moving platform guides their hand
to execute the drawing while their eyes are closed. The experience of
machine-guided movement is surprisingly uncanny, and when the drawing is
complete it's unclear who should be signing the work.

I also found a work of Jen Hui Liao. Her Self-Portrait Machine is a device that takes a picture of the sitter and draws it but with the model's help. The wrists of the individual are tied to the machine and it is his or her hands that are guided to draw the lines that will eventually form the portrait.

Disappointments Diary 2013 is a week-to-view appointments diary with a series of disappointing twists. The pocket-sized diary includes reminders of notable deaths, a weekly demotivational proverb, contact pages for People Who Never Call and People You Owe Money, and Pages Unintentionally Left Blank. The diary is published by Asbury & Asbury, designed by Hat-trick Design, written by Nick Asbury.
